America Didn’t Choose Surrender
It is looking like a well-known fact or common knowledge that one falsehood preached by the Democratic majority has been shown the light of day. The midterms were not about ending the war. The midterms were a measure of the public’s frustration about ineffective government. That includes unscrupulous politicians, the danger of lobbyists, the inability to get things done and all other common complaints that elected representatives have difficulty hearing.
After the losses for the GOP resulted in the Democrats gaining the majority, we now have Congress with a lower approval rating than the President. 2008 may just be more ‘throw the bums out’ exercises and all the posturing of late will bear no fruit for stubborn politicians. Sure most Americans want the war to end. But who said anything about accepting surrender. Just like 2 out of 3 Americans want illegals deported, Americans want victory in Iraq. It would be helpful if Congress and the President would finally understand this and do the right things.

According to the Left, the mandate of the November 2006 elections was clear and unequivocal — “End the War.” The mandate was so clear that the only way House Democratic leadership could get members of their own party to vote for defunding was to bribe them with billions in pork.
