There are certain stories no one should print. Then there is the category that fills most television news broadcasts and newspapers. Stories about nuisance celebrities, natural disasters, continuously rerun crime updates, and all sorts of death, injury, general misfortune, scandals and other tabloid topics. It may explain public apathy about real issues.

This blog avoids such stories. But occasionally one of the trash stories is in some way humorous. For those who must read the whole thing, the reference is linked to the source. But for purposes of this post it is not necessary to read the whole thing. There is humor in this piece and here is all you need for the laugh. You are encouraged to disregard the remainder of the story of two idiots

LOS ANGELES, July 5 — Mirthala Salinas, a television journalist here, learned on Thursday that it was not a wise career move to report that the mayor of Los Angeles was leaving his wife while failing to mention that she was dating him.

Honestly, when reading the excerpt initially, the guess here was the wife was cheating too. But this is much better. Condolences to the mayor’s wife or soon to be ex-wife, whatever.
