Surrender Monkey Faces Challenge in 2008

Posted in wordpress, Politics, campaign, election, GOP, Democrats, Rep Ron Klein (FL) on June 1st, 2007 by Stanford Matthews

Rep Ron KleinSoon after reading Rep Ron Klein’s blog post at The Hill.com this report popped up in a Yahoo news feed. It seems the GOP is wasting no time finding replacements for Rep Klein. If the earlier post indicating Klein’s penchant for surrender is typical of his stand on issues, the new challengers should not have much trouble unseating this surrender monkey.

It would be nice if the GOP could see their way clear to provide alternatives to other Democratic left wingers around the country. Of course, after a taste of the Democrats and their New Direction, other candidates in 2008 should have an easier time of ousting incumbents. The Dems continue to confuse the desire of their base with the will of the American people. It was merely a response to ineffective government. When one majority fails to produce results in a two party system, the other party is the beneficiary of the anger from the public. That does not mean the will of the people has been bestowed on the victor.

GOP Seeks to Oust Florida Frosh Klein in 2008 House Race

By Rachel Kapochunas
As they plot to win back the House in the 2008 election, Republicans have vowed to wage an aggressive challenge next year against freshman Democratic Rep. Ron Klein, who last year unseated veteran Republican Rep. E. Clay Shaw Jr. in southern Florida’s highly competitive 22nd District.

Allen West, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, declared his candidacy Tuesday as the second Republican candidate to organize a bid against Klein. West will compete with former Navy pilot Mark Flagg and perhaps one or more Republicans in the August 2008 primary.

But West, in announcing his intention to run, focused his fire on Klein: “Voters in next year’s elections will be offered two distinct visions for the future of our country: strength or weakness, resolve or indecision, security or vulnerability,” West said in a statement. “America is at a crossroads, and I intend to be a voice in Congress that stands up for preserving our nation’s strength, safety, and future.”

A Florida Surrender Monkey

Surrender Monkey Ron KleinOn your very first sentence, Florida Democratic Representative Ron Klein, you are wrong. War comes with a built in path to the end. It’s called victory. Of course there is one more but only Democrat surrender monkeys think about that one. Yes, it is called surrender. So why don’t you at least call it by what it is? Surrender is the name, not ‘a path to end this war’.

Either you put your political career ahead of the troops for a few fringe left votes, like 30 pieces of silver, or you are too intellectually challenged to understand the concept of war, or both. And to show your ignorance for the world to see, you post a statement displaying your lack of support for the troops, preference for surrender and, worst of all, continue to give aid and comfort to the enemy.

Some time this week you should repeat the following phrase to yourself until you fall asleep. And maybe by the next morning you can grow a pair. The phrase is ‘ We Win, They Lose ‘. Or you could try or add, ‘In war there is no substitute for victory.’ Your assignment for the week is to determine the source of these quotes.

It’s Congress’s Duty to Support a Change in War Policy

May 31st, 2007
By Fla. Dem. Rep. Ron Klein
I voted against the Iraq Supplemental last week because it does not provide the American people with a path to end this war. Without a real plan for accountability in Iraq, there is no telling how long this war will continue.
