DeMint Puts Immigration On The Campaign Trail
U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C, should be given credit for campaigning against illegal immigration. He is not up for re-election for three years so it would appear he is not taking a major political risk by doing this. Nonetheless he is keeping the issue out in front of the public in SC, a significant primary election state. The report indicates 97$ of those polled do not believe S. 1348 will do anything to eliminate illegal immigration but will give blanket amnesty to illegals. How right they are.
