Democratic Leaders?
I lost track First the Dems were whining about the President not doing what they want. Then they said he should discuss important matters with them. Then he invited them to the Whitehouse for a pow-wow. Then they accused him of some other misdeed. That last thing I heard was he called off the meeting. Can you blame him? One should not reward bad manners.
We collected this report on the eleventh as it is dated. Here it is about two days later and it is meaningless. But we use it here as a reminder that the Democrats can lose time in units of days just trying to set up an appointment. So beside accomplishing nothing in 100 hours or 100 days, they can even set an appointment and keep it within a week.
And don’t believe the headline. For one simple reason, any ideas the Democratic leaders have certainly won’t be the concerns of the American people. Not all Americans have exactly the same set of concerns. What concerns they do have in common no Democrat has ever veered from their own agenda long enough to address, not to mention solve.

Democratic Leaders Will Bring Concerns Of The American People To White House
Wednesday, April 11, 2007
Washington, DC— Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi today issued the following statement in response to President Bush’s rejection of Democrats’ invitations to work with Congress on changing course in Iraq:
“Democrats in Congress want to sit down with the President to talk about the best way to both fully fund our troops and move forward in Iraq. We have sent him repeated requests to do so, the most recent today. We have been disappointed with the President’s decision to avoid a serious, substantive discussion with Congress on Iraq.
“We will be at the White House on Wednesday to talk with the President. We will listen to his position, but in return we will insist that he listen to concerns of the American people that his policies in Iraq have failed and we need to change course.”
