Does al-Megrahi Have Cancer?

Trade deals have been reported as the ’stimulus’ behind the release of a man convicted in the bombing of Pan Am’s Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. Jubilation was the reaction in Libya. Not so for those who mourn the tragedy and deaths of passengers, crew and residents on the ground. But believe it or not Scotland’s Justice Secretary claims it was all in the name of mercy for the convicted bomber.
Lockerbie Bomber Released From Prison

The question from this blog added to all those being raised now is this. Does al-Megrahi really have prostate cancer? So you say we will know that in a matter of months. Do you suppose a fake funeral could be arranged in Libya? Since the government there popped for the luxurious accommodations where al-Magrahi’s family resides, according to reports in the news, how tough would it be for them to fake a funeral and provide a luxurious secret lifestyle for the released convict?

The world is being smoke screened that megrahi has terminal cancer! So what if he has terminal cancer for real? Should all cancer sufferers go ahead and commit heinous crimes and expect full pardon?? I dont think so!
I also do not understand the importance of megrahi to the libyan. His release must have cost billions. If he were a true soldier, he should have been prpared to die for whatever his cause and beliefs are. Instead of crying like a baby about prostate cancer which inflicts about 1 in ten men if not more!
To be honest, “showing” compassion in this way, is just laughable. A total farce.
In my opinion, the families of the lockerbie victims are the true heroes here because their children have been sacrificed to steady the economic downturn of this country thru the nefarious deals struck behind their backs, without their consent. Accidental heroes but heroes non the less.

Five years from now al-Magrahi will be a perfectly healthy, leading member of the Libyan government–maybe sent as an envoy to the UK, UN, US. It’s the Golden Rule all over again: “He who has the gold rules.”
