Hillary Clinton Still Peddles Government Insurance

A report from AP accurately describes one of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign items as health insurance. But by the time you get through the first paragraph it has been rechristened ‘her health care plan’. Let’s be clear about a few things. Number one, referring to whatever it is as ‘her health care plan’ is a bit misleading. She did not author the plan but had others do it for her. While other candidates may have enlisted the help of others to outline a response to campaign focus on the health care issue, Clinton repackaged her failed nineties health care plan right down to using the same people to put it together. It is a tax-funded, government regulated, bureaucratically flawed universal health insurance coverage plan. And it is being marketed by the Clinton campaign like the stereotypical used car salesman or, go figure, insurance salesman.
The largest flaw in all the health care proposals being offered is they do not really address the overall issue. Beyond the less than desirable effects for consumers of the results of profit-driven practices within the health care industry, equally counter to the pursuit of effective health care for all is the intervention of government action that produces little benefit with crippling costs and apathetic consumers feeling entitled to all the health care their destructive habits require. That’s it in a nutshell and Hillary Rodham Clinton’s vast experience, wink, wink, has her offering health insurance to solve these problems. Not gonna happen folks.
The economic burdens of the combined costs of fighting the war on terror, a retiring baby boom generation, illegal immigration, off the charts energy demand, out of control health care, a debt-ridden society and government as well as corporate governance run amok partnered with political corruption will cripple this nation if not solved. Say what you will about the strength of the economy and relative merits of public officials and their agendas, these trends cannot be sustained indefinitely.
All the Presidential candidates share responsibility for addressing more than what is dictated by intelligent campaigning. But by far the one candidate hiding the most, sidestepping real issues and satisfied to run a campaign as if already nominated is one Hillary Rodham Clinton. Relying on her bogus claim of experience while criticizing others on the same topic without demonstrating any proof of being qualified to govern reinforces the notion she is merely a surrogate for another Bill Clinton Administration. That is the real reason Democrats defend her scam on the public.
