Nice try, Joan Vennochi, but your conclusions are not quite right. How many times does a person have to tell you the reason for his reconsidering the position on abortion? Just since Gonzales v Carhart I have changed my mind on a long standing pro choice stand. The left’s affection for bone crushing partial birth abortions is the reason. Romney had a similar change of heart by circumstances in his life.
And how do you propose he check every person around him or working for the government as contractors for their citizenship docs without being called a Nazi. How do you compel the disclosure of such information without being assailed by the left?
On health care, at least he did something. How about Hillary Rodham Clinton’s failure on health care, campaigning on it again or missing the vote on S. 1348 so as not to lose votes for the primaries? Explain that, Vennochi. You wouldn’t happen to be a registered Massachusetts Democrat would you? What a limp argument you present.
You criticize for Romney closing loopholes as considered a tax by business. Had he not done it, opponents would have called it favoring corporate America in the tax code and rightly so. Loopholes are exactly the kind of cheating for which politicians should get filleted. Romney got rid of it. Giving tax loopholes to business is not conservative.

Joan, you know I was talking with Massachusetts the other day and she says the breakup was due to her cheating on Mitt with the liberal Congress. She also said that Mitt broke up with her when he said he wouldn’t be seeking reelection; long before his White House run.

Likewise Angel, we’re trying to promote a little traditional Memorial Day spirit here. You know, in case anyone needs a reminder of why they have it so good. Maybe I can still make the rounds today, just got back from some family duties on this Memorial Day weekend. Had to put the final touches on at the cemetery.
