Mexicans have not woven into the American societyat all. Because they have come across in such uncontrolled numbers and, for the most part, are not bothered once they are here, they have basically set up Mexican colonies in this country. They have not assimilated, they have colonized. There are countless small and mediom sized towns throughout the western states that are almost 100% mexican with high a percent illegal population.

It has gotten to a point where they now openly express demands upon the American citizens. They feel emboldened to march in the streets while carrying Mexican flags. They feel we must provide bilingual education as well as Spanish versions of almost every official form and document. They have not come here to become Americans, they have come here to get a piece of America while remaining loyal to Mexico and the Mexican culture.

As for the impact on our economy if the illegals were sent home, we would see a bounce.

The idea that they are a great finacial benifit to us is a complete joke. The typical illegal costs the U.S. economy about $20,000. per year. The cost is higher if they have childern. When you couple that with the fact that they take jobs from legal workers and then send billions back to Mexico each year instead of spending it into the local economy. I think the facts are overwhelming clear, illegals are very expensive. They are a huge drain on our economy.

One other thing to keep in mind. The number of illegals now residing in this country is probably 20 million or more. The government is deliberately downplaying the truth.

We are being absolutely screwed by our own backstabbing elected officials from both parties.
