Great video Stanford. It distresses me that the Coburn’s and Obama’s are close personal friends, but I appreciate that Coburn is being vocal about this. Anyone listening to Dr. Coburn can see the differences in the plans. Same with Paul Ryan - listen to him and you recognize the scam that is before us in the name of health care.
I did not know the Coburn’s and Obama’s were cozy. On some days one gets the impression ALL POLS are cozy. Kinda that good ol’ boy network thing workin’.
As for Ryan, thanks for mentioning something positive about Wisconsin politics. Just how positive I am not sure. My take on the legislative proposals is summarized in the title of this post. I don’t want either side’s ‘reform’. But if I am faced with the choice of having to choose one I’ll take the GOP version.
The sensible alternative to either plan or starting over is drop the whole idea. Everyone should be aware of the situation by now. POLS have a unique opportunity at this point. Explain to the public that gov’t intervention is never the best choice. That the public should be smarter about how they deal with matters of health. Takin’ better care of ourselves and not expecting everything under the sun from the medical industry. Stop runnin’ to the doctor for every little thing. Eliminate that which wastes the precious resource known as healthcare. Warn those who practice medicine and others like insurance companies to police their own to correct corruption and abuse. And end by saying if you don’t fix it yourselves we’ll be back and do it for you.
I know, it will never work. But it’s my dream and I like it.
