Open Trackback Review

HolywoodFerdinand T Cat has succeeded in making one feel real anguish while describing his current film not so noir and the reasons he was viewing it. Guess it is time for MoreWhat.com’s first H/T to Conservative Cat. The convincing heartfelt concern over the film maker’s choices and as well as the central characters makes this required reading for today.

Wow, Siskel and Ebert or Law and Order it ain’t. Overtaken by Events takes no prisoners and makes a point or two with the turn of phrase. Ah, the mirror of pop culture and entertainment to define who we are will never be an uplifting endeavor. After a quick survey of the staff, our view is Fred Thompson will do better at the box office than the oval office. Ok, so we took advantage of name dropping, or something.

ThinkingThe Florida Masochist’s Knucklehead of the Day examines one of Florida’s finest. We’ll let them do the talking. AS promised earlier we have a few more Knucklers to accommodate here due to time constraints yesterday. or whenver that was. See what I mean?

It seems on the second Knuckler from yesterday, the hospitality industry is taking one in the shorts. Ok, maybe it is just that they are a little short. Ok, maybe the reason they’re a little short is they’re also short on something else. Ok, we’ll let TFM explain it. Check it out.

Knucklers part 3 finds bad driving, bad golfing, bad writing and just a bad day all around. A pair of idiots get the Florida Masochist’s Knucklehead of the Day award on this outting.

We’re glad TFM saved this knucklehead of the day for last. We might have avoided a follow-up. A temporary renmae of the regular feature would have been allowable to emphasize the incredible lack of oversight and common sense responsibility in this the fourth TFM KotD from yesterday. Please read it. This should go on some sort of lasting list for the anti ACLU cause.

coffee and paperNow back to where we left off today and that persents a rare treat from third world county. What do you do shortly after you get up in the morning. No, it’s not that. No, it’s not that either. Here’s a hint. When I was a little kid my mohter would say to me in the morning when she first got up, “wait until I’ve had a ……” Have you got it now. Something I use by the quart at least is being discussed and possibly adored in this post. 50 points for original idea or based on the text, the extension on the idea. Have a read with some…….you know.

A refreshing read from Conservative Thoughts as to Gen. Tommy Franks view on the whole Iraq thing and every part of it, pretty much. In view of events later today, you could add Gen Peter Pace to that post. I’m liking what I’m seeing if more Generals are steppin’ up and telling it like it is. Study the checklist or bullet list with this post.

Right Voices is doing a solo open trackback today but the main page has several worthwhile reads posted from the 12th as well as the comment section although commenting sometimes is a little narrow in view. In answer to one Blind Justicecomment on Gen Pace, I say more power to him. One should not be required to modify one’s opinion just because civilian leadership pandering invents rules to appease a few.

And I thought chivalry was dead. I will preface my “10″ approval for the post at Planck’s Constant with echoing the unavoidable truth of their most honest introduction to a long overdue male oriented holiday. H/T to PC, get it?

A necessary review of the case of the Duke LaCrosse team is a noble entry for today’s reads. We thank the Pirate’s Cove for reminding us to attend to all the important matters. It is often to easy to let some issues slide with the sheer quantity of new entrants everyday. And just talking about it via blogs is not a completed task. Contact someone involved in an issue and contribute in whatever way you can. Join an issue oriented organization that reflects your personal views and addresses problems with real activism. Activism is not just for the left fringe, it is also for those on the right or in the middle. By doing nothing we are neither left, right or middle.

Iwo JimaBlue Star Chronicles offers some video of the 3rd Stryker Brigade and the Iraqi 6th from January in a firefight in Baghdad. It is good to study these presentations as they have a tendency to make it a little more real for those of us who are not there. Lest we find it to easy to abandon support as some have. Understand what people contribute. Do our part to provide support. That means not allowing the weak to dictate policy. If for whatever reason you are not fond of President Bush, don’t let the troops down because of it.

And last on my trackbacks and not by design, is Maggie’s Notebook. I noticed it appears Maggie has shortened the name of her blog and removed the conservative blog part. I doubt that expresses a change in Maggies position on things. Based on our comment section conversation today, I feel safe in that assumption. Maggies post is worth a read and if you’re like me you will feel compelled to leave a comment. I’d tell you what the post is about but if you can’t read, what would be the point? :-)

Hey, made it through in one pass, no interruptions or other places to be this day. Whew!!! That may be it for posting today, maybe not. Anyway, this is my little contribution to the linkfest thing. If y’all find out that I do this, stop and take a read and get the view of other views in the linkfest. Link on trackbackers.

First, thanks for comments on my blog name and the nice “nudge” to visit me and leave comment.

Here’s the story: I cannot seem to reduce the font size in my header - and so Maggie’s Notebook | Conservative Blog was just all crammed-up and messy looking. I want to use the whole name, and put it up and taken it down several times.

Most embarrassing to admit this. The page element will take not html - or at least, my html. I’m working on it :-)

Your method of profiling trackbacks is very nice. I takes a lot of time to do this for your fellow bloggers.

    Thanks again,
    Maggie

Well that explains it. It\’s always comforting to have someone else mention their struggles, big or small, with managing tasks. I grumble daily on what is required complete some of this work. About the trackback review, thanks. It started as a faster way to complete my routines and turned into a review that seemed to be lacking. It might still be lacking but there it is. And already I\’m falling behind on them.
