Pelosi in July, Part Two
Not much has changed since this blog’s last Pelosi in July report. In the latest PR from Speaker Pelosi there is evidence of her getting lost in her own political rhetoric. Just in the titles and excerpts it is obvious. The latest PR listed indicates Democratic leadership is calling on the President for good faith negoatating by both sides for the budget process. Yet two PR’s earlier she lobs an insult to the President regarding military pay raises. Those releases are both dated July 20th. She can’t even keep track of her lies for one day.
What are the odds that either party has the intention to do anything that benefits the family farm. The description Pelosi gives in the third PR’s excerpt below sounds more like shifting money from agriculture to some other program. For decades the government has enticed farmers to accept subsidies to promote artificial control of markets. How does one not accept things like not planting a crop to receive payment from the government versus the typical risks involved in farming as usual. That practice and other farming intervention in loans and other subsidies have not worked. Now we are supposed to believe that this time it will be different. Sure it will.
On the fourth and fifth PR’s below, Pelosi once again tries to shift blame on someone else for shortfalls or failures. Believing that the Democratic party’s obssession with surrender is the will of the people would be more convincing if Congress regularly listened to the voters. Typically whenever they ignore the voters the excuse offered is they can’t govern by public opinion polls. Now that they failed to effectively use their majority advantage they blame the minority party. When the Dems were the minority they blamed the GOP for their failures. Now they are the majority and once again they blame the GOP for their failures. Without Harry Reid’s restrictions on the Iraq measures he may have been able to find compromise. He is not willing to do that.
The last three PR’s below are more Pelosi lunacy. Blame poor or non-existent care of military personnel on one person at the top of Veteran’s Affairs and conclude that a replacement will solve everything. In another of the three PR’s this same woman after playing kissy face with Syria has the audacity to suggest what is needed for national security. As a final insult she adds to that feigned compassion for first responders with a thinly veiled emotional appeal. She’s absolutely certifiable.
