Pick another woman besides Hillary Rodham Clinton
Clinton ripped for flip-flop on Iran
“I would engage in negotiations with Iran, with no conditions, because we don’t really understand how Iran works. We think we do, from the outside, but I think that is misleading,” she said.
Obama noted on Friday that when he said in July he would meet with such leaders without setting any conditions, Clinton called his stance “irresponsible and frankly naive.”
While nearly every candidate gets attacked for the old flip-flop like McCain on immigration or Romney on abortion, those issues are not in the same category with foreign policy and meeting challenges like the risks presented by Iran and other loose cannons in the world. For voters who ignore Hillary Rodham Clinton’s audacity to call Obama’s stand on Middle East policy as irresponsible and naive indicates they are misguided or voting for Bill or both.
Can she win? First let’s ask: Should she?
And do we really want Bill Clinton - despite his boffo performance in recent years as a silver-haired fox devoted to good works and brimming over with charm - back in the thick of things? Because he will be. There is no way that the prospective First Laddie, as he dubbed himself, would be content with solving crosswords and being a graceful host at the annual White House Christmas festivities. The man is an inveterate meddler, unable to keep his hands off anything.
Another piece doing a good job reminding people of the obvious situation everyone seems to discount in terms of press and other media coverage. Presidential term limits will effectively be circumvented by a win for Hillary Rodham Clinton. With all that happened during the Clinton years, except for an insatiable appetite for power and the highest office in the land, how many women do you know that would not have sought divorce after Bill’s escapades? Only one who places personal gain above principle.
Clinton’s team says women will carry win
Buoyed by her strong lead among women in polls, Hillary Clinton’s advisers are predicting that women will carry her to victory in the Democratic primary and that, if they do, they will turn out to vote for her in historic numbers in the general election next November.
A woman’s vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton is either a vote for Bill or a vote based solely on gender. It is understandable that women would be in favor of having a woman President. But to accept the first one that comes along just because of gender is a foolish proposition. If you think the Bush Administration has been a disaster, another Clinton White House could be an even bigger disappointment. If all you can remember about the two-term Clinton White House was leaving with a budget surplus and job numbers that impressed, you’re missing the point. The dot com bubble that burst, 9/11 less than a year after Bill, impeachment proceedings for lying to Congress and the laundry list of scandal and misdeeds provide ample reason to avoid a repeat. Just pointing to the current White House as a rebuttal to the Clinton flaws is lame. Pointing to flaws of President Bush do not erase the flaws of President Clinton. The Bush era is coming to an end and the Clinton era should stay that way.
Here are some more headlines for you.
$110 billion question: Hillary health plan has familiar flaws
By headline alone and based on other reports here and elsewhere, Hillary Rodham Clinton is trying to repackage health care in a campaign to erase previous errors. While admitting the mistakes of the past she expects you to accept them again. Hillary Care is like summer TV….reruns. The only thing Hillary Care provides is an explanation of why her campaign established her preference for lobbyists as real Americans.
Why should this surprise anyone?
But Hillary Rodham Clinton is acting the part of post-nominee candidate. Her campaign protects her from answering the tough questions. Her appearances are carefully controlled to avoid any risk, meaning you hear what Hillary wants you to hear and nothing more. For example her recent appearance on Meet the Press was nothing more than a canned campaign ad. The few questions responded to from Russert were pathetic ramblings that never answered what was asked. Likely, the appearance was completely scripted by her campaign staff.
That is all you get with Hillary. Keep to the script, stay on message and tell the voting public nothing.
Who comes up with this stuff? Why would the savior of the planet sign up for another round of ‘ how stupid am I ‘?
One last item for any women reading this post. It might be a worthwhile exercise for women reading this post to comment on their choice for the best woman candidate for President besides Hillary Rodham Clinton. While choosing Hillary would add nothing to the discussion since she is already a candidate, please select another woman. You can even say the selection is your second choice to Hillary if that is the case. But it would be informative for women to post suggestions for a woman President, again, other than Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Hillary terrifies me. I am so concerned the “soccer moms” will vote for her due to “feel good” messages about children and because she is a women. Not knowing she leans towards socialsm.

C’mon Audrey, give us a femaile substitute for Hillary Rodham Clinton in a Presidential race.

Why should it be a requirement that there be a “female substitute” in the presidential race? Have gender quotas gone that far now??

Condoleezza Rice should run for president! For two reasons: #1 she’s intelligent AND articulate! #2 she’s not Hillary!

Rockyspoon, the post simply requested women to pick another woman candidate for President. It might be interesting to see what other female candidate women would like to have.

How about Tipper Gore - she offers the same White House/Washington experience that Hillary does, plus the two-for-one deal with Al.
Just kidding…
On a more serious note, there are a lot of women who have held executive roles who would be better for the US than Mrs Clinton on the Democrat side: Christine Whitman and Carly Fiorina immediately come to mind. I also love the idea of a Maria Shriver candidacy even though I don’t think she’s ever held an office. Now there’s a two-for-one deal that would truly unite the parties.
Condoleeza Rice would be an amazing Republican candidate. I wish I knew why she isn’t running. Hopefully someone will tap her for VP.

Ann Coulter. LOL Ok, I only partly name her in jest. I seriously think we need someone who will lay it out there caustic style and drop all the feel-good PC bull****. Oh, wait. Ann’s a lawyer. Scratch that. Condi is too supportive of “Palestine” or else I could definitely support her.
Ok, my pick would be La Shawn Barber.
