Romney Denies Role in Push-Poll Ploy

A bit of an update related to a post on this blog and a report from NRO that suggested or asked the question if Mitt Romney or his campaign had push-polled himself as a campaign tactic. Without going over the previous information, a report from the Boston Herald indicates both Romney and McCain, who was also a suspect of the blogosphere, had filed complaints with the NH AG. By the sounds of the Herald report the AG in NH is not going to let this one go. This should mean that it is only a matter of time before the real source of the push-poll calls are known.
That’s right, this blog supports Mitt Romney for President. But it would be better to find out bad news early than ignore the possibility that something may be wrong. Currently, the support here includes the belief that Mitt Romney had nothing to do with the push-polls. No reason to really think McCain was either. While the conclusions drawn as to why or how that could have happened are well constructed, it is the belief here that on its own, the push poll tactic is not worth the downside of slamming a torpedo into one’s campaign. In other words, minus the honor thing, there is no practical upside to the push-poll strategy that outweighs the downside of potential damage to a campaign.
Since Romney still leads in early states and lately HRC is losing ground combined with the fact she claims to have campaign ending dirt on Obama who leads her in Iowa, it is a surprise no one seems to have suggested the Clinton campaign as a culprit. With their track record on personal ethics or lack of same, its an unethical match made in hell. Not to mention news of that being the case would make this blog very happy.

People fall into one of three categories:
1) People who see Mitt Romney for who he is and will vote for him
2) Self-righteous, religious bigots (i.e., “Christians”) who will never vote for Mitt because of his religious choice
3) Liberals who are more than happy to see America’s morals disentegrate and see Mitt Romney as the enemy to their cause
4) People who have been fed a pack of lies from those in categories #2 and #3
