Romney says many answers to nation’s problems found in the home
That’s what I’m talking about. That’s what I told ya. With all the issues, complaints, demands, name calling, insults, arguments and not to mention political foot shooting, crime, greed and no sense at all about focusing on what’s important, this country needs to get back to basics. Enough with the Ph.D. analysis, think tanks, lobbyists and pseudo-grassroots groups selling their own nonsense. When the fundamentals are flawed there is no point chasing after press release and sound bite oriented solutions. Because those are solutions for the source of the message and not for society. This nation needs to focus on the real simple structures since we can’t get a handle on foreign affairs, energy or the global warming debate. Issues without simple effective solutions are beyond us right now. So get back to the beginning and straighten that out so we just might have a chance to conquer the big problems.
Just like there would be no sense in trying to build or repair your house if you have forgotten how to use a basic set of hand and power tools, trying to solve the world’s and your own problems is unlikely if the basic family unit is in peril.
Most Americans are crying for health care, education, economic strength, jobs, medicare, retirement and just about any other item you can think of. And the fault or blame is always with someone else. Every American citizen will need to take a careful inventory of how they operate and what they contribute to the problems or solutions. It has become to easy to project the blame and cause of problems upon everyone but ourselves. If we all stop demanding like a bunch of spoiled little kids and focus on our own behavior and results, the other problems may then be in our reach to solve.
How’s that for my first sermon? It’s not really a sermon of course, but that is how it made me feel writing it. And BTW, I take full responsibility for my own failures. The successes are so far apart I don’t even bother celebrating for they usually last only long enough to take a deep breath and get ready for the next problem. I’ll do my best to fix my problems. Why don’t you help out and concentrate on yours. If we all work at it things may improve. But that does not mean you should stop telling Congress or the President what you think. On the contrary, you should give them a piece of your mind every time you fix a problem. Have a nice day. ( I absolutely hate when people say that. )

BURLINGTON, Iowa –Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney said Sunday that the answers to many of the nation’s problems can be found within the walls of the American home.
Romney spoke at a Father’s Day brunch in Burlington before heading to Wapello and Muscatine later in the day to wrap up a three-day visit to eastern Iowa.
“I don’t think there’s any work that goes on in America that’s more important to our future than the work that goes on within the four walls of the American home,” the former Massachusetts governor said.
