The public should be extremely concerned about the United States Senate this week. The Senate website lists seven items on the ‘active legislation’ table that cover the Iraq war, defense, security, intelligence, immigration, appropriations and a host of pork-laden special interest features sure to cause your average lobbyist to salivate.

The Water Resources bill serves up pork to as yet an uncounted number of special interests and includes the alleged insider benefit for Nancy Pelosi’s husband and their property interests in California. That is why are women in politics posts have featured our favorite California political women we suspect of wrongdoing, Senators Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer.

Harry Reid has sponsored another immigration bill stated at the Thomas LOC as being introduced May 9th that is probably the result of the back room deals worked out by Sen Kyl, Kennedy and the White House to screw the American public. The text of the legislation is currently missing at Thomas LOC. The co-sponsors are Senators Kennedy, Leahy, Menendez and Salazar.

The political football of HR’s 2206 and 2207 on releasing funds for the Iraq war under certain conditions have an uncertain future as does the ability of many Americans when it comes to supporting the troops. Those Americans should be extremely ashamed of themselves.

Between reading the sponsors and cosponsors of immigration legislation going back to HR4437 in 2005 and paying attention to the events of the next several weeks will give one a useful list on who to throw out of office during the next election cycle of 2008. You know, the election cycle that is driving the politicians to abandon their duty to America since the midterms. You can then assemble the data on the haggling or Chuck Hagle-ing of RINO’s and fringe Dems against the troops and their service to country by withholding funds as a political tool. This will give you the list of politicians who need to go. And if that is too much trouble, just vote against every incumbent the next time you are in the voting booth. You have a better chance getting good government that way than allowing career politicians the annual ability to line their pockets and give away our country.
