The American Legion on the Iraq War
The American Legion posted on the Hill.com’s Congress blog. For those of you who don’t understand why the mission in Iraq must be completed, maybe you will listen to the American Legion. If you are unfamiliar, the American Legion is an organization whose members are Veteran’s who served in combat. They have about three million members and perform many civic functions, advocate on behalf of Veterans and are politically active. This is part of the message from their post at Hill.com. An Unacceptable Message

Congress may consider its vote on H. Con. Res. 63 to be non-binding, but veterans of previous wars and those in the field of combat right now consider Congress’s action to be a betrayal of trust and the first step toward surrender to the terrorists who caused this war in the first place.
