Political involvement by ignorant, sloppy-thinking, even deliberately stupid (as in: have no intention of doing their homework) folks we have enough of. More involvement from such would be bad news for everyone. OTOH, involvement of more folks who <i>do</i> their homework, have enough understanding of historical context to actually see some of the more common political pitfalls: that would be a Good Thing. Unfortunately, the second class is far, far outweighed by the first class, in my experience. OT: Merry Christmas!
