Will Rezko Mean Jail Time for Obama?
H/T to Stop the ACLU and PUMA Pundit as well Michael Sneed at the Chicago Sun Times for a report suggesting Barack Obama and his ties to Tony Rezko may end up including jail time for the Senator from Illinois and current Presidential candidate for the Democratic Party. It seems that with sentencing for Tony Rezko being in his immediate future, ’singing’ to the FEDS about a ‘family’ in Chicago as well as Illinois’s Governor Blagojevich and Senator Barack Obama and a bank in Chcago with ‘political connections.’
Before you get all worked up about the possibilities in the paragraph above, consider this report from Fox News which is usually condemned by the left as being biased. Here’s an excerpt and link….

The thing to remember here is not so much what the possibilities are for Obama with Rezko ’singing’ but the media and Obama supporters who quickly denounce any
inquiry into relationships maintained by the Democratic party presidential nominee. Yes, his colleagues, friends, associates and his history do matter in this election. In terms of the latest Rezko story above, it is relevant to point to Obama’s Hyde Park connections as well as those to the Chicago political machine that also reaches into state and national politics. His campaign treasurer is Martin Nesbitt who is also the head of the Chicago Housing Authority. One of, if not his closest, advisors is Valerie Jarrett whose involvement in Chicago housing matters goes back to her grandfather and she as well as another advisor and former employer of Barack Obama, Allison Davis have both been involved in shady real estate deals that used government grants to develop public housing that was later seized by the government, cited for thousands of code violations or simply abandoned as uninhabitable.
The key to the Obama Chicago connection is of course political but also shows a link to Chicago public housing, shady real estate deals and political contributions that helped populate various boards and bestow favors on those supplying the money which include Tony Rezko who was also involved in the shady real estate deals and is connected to Obama from when he first came to Chicago. Rezko has also done fund raising on behalf of Obama and Biden and another friend of his has been convicted with ties to Biden.

Other associations were described in earlier posts on this blog. Among them were Franklin Raines, the former head of Fannie Mae, Valerie Jarrett, Allison Davis and Martin Nesbitt with connections to shady public housing deals and the Chicago Housing Authority which Nesbitt currently heads, and others. The point is some people wish to minimize the associations of Barack Obama. And what is maximizing those associations is Obama’s refusal to deal with the inquiries in a reasonable fashion. He has been taken to task largely for answering with what can only be described as lies such as the case with William Ayers when Obama described him as ‘just a guy in the neighborhood.’ Rather than complain about people asking the questions or those on the left side where Obama supporters live dismissing every inquiry the public as well as the main stream media should step up the pressure for full disclosure from Obama. After all he is running for President.
